Factory Replacement CNC System.
Very old Windows ’95 PC running a CNC program – PC developed a fault and needed replaced. Control software bespoke and very expensive.
Replaced with a new PC running a Windows 7 Professional Operating System, making sure it included a traditional serial port for communication, and a parallel centronics port to support an old printer.
Setup a virtual Windows ’95 Operating System and re-installed bespoke CNC software. Ensured all historic data transferred and accessible, tested and fully functioning.
This solution saved the customer a substantial amount of money by not upgrading to the latest version of CNC software. The solution also ensured the customer now had an Operating System supported by Microsoft, with fully up-to-date virus package allowing him to access the internet directly.
