1st July 2020 sees changes to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme come into effect.

In this phase the government has announced that workers will be able to return to work on a part-time basis while continuing to be furloughed for the time they aren’t at work. To support business during July, you will still be able to reclaim 80%, up to £2,500, of the total furlough pay. As well as the Employer NI and Pension Contributions paid on the reclaimable furlough pay. 

The Job Retention Scheme Module

As a Sage 50cloud Payroll customer, you already have access to the Job Retention Scheme Module to support you with calculations and applications during the pandemic. From today, Sage have released an update to the module which includes all of the changes for July.

Over the next four months the scheme will continue to change for businesses, what this means for you as an employer is that the amount claimed for furloughing employees will gradually reduce over the coming months. Sage will continue to update the Job Retention Scheme Module with all the changes as they are released and will let you know when they are available.
